The 5th Grade students at Manteo Elementary School have volunteered to raise and lower the flag each day of the school year.  The daily ceremony will include unfolding and refolding of the tri-cornered flag.  With the assistance of the OBX VFW, the students have been learning the proper handling and care of the flag.  Thursday will be the first opportunity to use their new skills.
